Radio

I'm the host and producer of The Cosmic Library podcast from Lit Hub. Season one was "Finnegan and Friends," in which I followed tangents about water, dreams, and language through conversations on Finnegans Wake. Season two chased tangents in a different book of the night: 1,001 Nights. Season three is "Mosaic Mosaic," on the Hebrew Bible. Cosmic Library guests have included theoretical physicist Jim Al-Khalili, the novelist Joshua Cohen, actor-director Olwen Fouéré, science journalist Alok Jha, the poet Elisa Gabbert, the critic Katy Waldman, and many more.

I host and produce The Writers Institute, a podcast and radio show from the New York State Writers Institute and Lit Hub. This show weaves together the Institute's magnificent archival sound with contemporary conversations. You'll hear my conversations with Jonathan Franzen, Saeed Jones, Susan Choi, Jonathan Lethem, Amelia Gray, and William Kennedy. From the archives, you'll hear Raymond Carver, Grace Paley, Ann Beattie, Denis Johnson, Margaret Atwood, Samuel Delany, Don DeLillo, and more.

I'm also a producer with Open Source on WBUR. Here's my Open Source show with Ben Lerner.

Episodes I've written for The Organist, from KCRW and McSweeney's:

"The Scientific Method of the Ramones"

"The Cool Gaze of Madame Realism"
